Bio:

Violetta Manavis is a fashion, commercial and editorial photographer with extensive training in the fields of glamour, special effects and theatrical makeup for photography and film. She is self-taught in the areas of glamour/fashion makeup and makeup for photography. Her makeup resume includes working with Estee Lauder/Prescriptive, Georgette Klinger and Serenity Day Spas in Washington DC. Her formal training for theatrical and special effects makeup comes from Montgomery College of Rockville Maryland and the University of Maryland in Baltimore County.

Violetta holds a bachelors degree in Photography from the University of Maryland in Baltimore County Maryland. She has working knowledge of digital, 35 mm and large format cameras for black and white and color photography. Although she loves to photograph in natural light, she has extensive training in a studio environment as well as creating her own setting using found objects and props.
